ThuysThingies is a website operated by Phan Thu Thuy Nguyen, an individual.
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or how your personal information is handled, you can contact us at:
For the purposes of applicable UK data protection law, Phan Thu Thuy Nguyen is the data controller for personal information processed through ThuysThingies.
2. Information we collect
We may collect personal information that you voluntarily provide when you contact us through the website.
Our contact form collects:
- your name;
- your email address; and
- the message or other information you choose to provide.
We may also process technical information necessary to operate, maintain and secure the website, such as information associated with requests made to our website and necessary website functionality.
Where you choose to accept optional statistics cookies, we use Google Analytics to collect information about how visitors use the website.
We do not operate user accounts, newsletters, advertising or online payments on ThuysThingies.
3. How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- respond to enquiries submitted through our contact form;
- communicate with you about an enquiry;
- operate, maintain and secure the website;
- where you have given consent, understand how visitors use ThuysThingies and improve the website; and
- comply with applicable legal obligations where necessary.
We do not sell your personal information or use it for advertising or marketing purposes.
4. Lawful bases for processing
The lawful basis we use depends on why we process your information.
Contact enquiries
When you voluntarily contact us through the website, we use the information you provide to respond to your enquiry and manage our correspondence with you.
We rely on our legitimate interests in responding to communications sent to us and managing enquiries.
Google Analytics
Google Analytics is used only where you have given consent through our cookie consent banner.
You can reject optional statistics cookies or withdraw your consent through the website’s privacy settings.
5. Contact form
Our contact form is provided using WPForms Lite.
When you submit the form, the information you provide is sent by email to the email account used to receive enquiries. This information may include your name, email address and message.
We use this information to respond to your enquiry and maintain relevant correspondence.
Please do not submit sensitive personal information through the contact form unless it is necessary for your enquiry.
WPForms Lite does not normally store form-entry information on WPForms’ own infrastructure. WPForms also provides an optional cloud backup service called Lite Connect; if this optional service is enabled, submitted form information may be stored by WPForms for backup purposes.
6. Website hosting and services
ThuysThingies is hosted by Hostinger and operates using WordPress.
We use services and plugins that are necessary to operate and maintain the website.
We use Complianz to manage cookie consent and remember visitors’ privacy preferences.
We also use Google Tag Manager to manage website tags. Google states that Tag Manager does not collect or retain information about visitors to customers’ properties beyond standard HTTP request logs and aggregated diagnostic information used to operate and maintain the service.
Where you consent to statistics cookies, Google Analytics processes information about your use of the website.
7. Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use ThuysThingies and to help us improve the website.
Google Analytics is not loaded before you provide consent through our cookie consent mechanism.
If you reject statistics cookies, Google Analytics remains disabled.
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time through the Privacy Preferences option on the website.
Google states that it acts as a processor for Google Analytics data processed on behalf of its customers, subject to the applicable data-processing terms and the settings configured by the customer.
For more information about cookies and similar technologies used on ThuysThingies, please see our Cookie Policy (UK).
8. Cookies and similar technologies
ThuysThingies uses necessary cookies and similar technologies to operate the website and remember your privacy preferences.
Optional statistics technologies, including Google Analytics, are used only with your consent.
For detailed information about the technologies used, their purposes and how you can manage your choices, please see our Cookie Policy (UK).
9. Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information.
Depending on how you use the website, personal information may be processed by service providers that help us operate the website and communicate with visitors, including:
- Hostinger, for website hosting;
- Google, as the provider of the email service used to receive contact-form enquiries;
- Google, for Google Analytics where you have given consent; and
- other service providers where reasonably necessary to operate, maintain or secure the website.
WPForms Lite is used to generate and send the contact-form notification. WPForms states that, in its Lite version, form-entry information is sent by email rather than being collected by WPForms, unless the optional Lite Connect backup service is used.
10. International transfers
Some of the service providers we use may process personal information outside the United Kingdom.
For example, Hostinger states that personal information may be processed and stored in the UK, Netherlands, Lithuania, Cyprus and other jurisdictions where necessary to provide its services, and that it uses appropriate legal mechanisms for applicable international transfers.
Google’s services may also involve processing outside the UK. Where a restricted transfer of personal information occurs, we rely on an applicable lawful transfer mechanism, such as UK adequacy regulations or appropriate safeguards, as required by UK data protection law. Google’s current Google Analytics terms provide for applicable international-transfer mechanisms, including the relevant UK transfer provisions.
11. How long we keep your information
We retain contact-form enquiries for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to the enquiry and maintain relevant correspondence.
We may retain information for longer where this is necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims, comply with a legal obligation, or otherwise protect our legitimate interests.
Google Analytics information is retained according to the data-retention settings configured in our Google Analytics property.
12. Your rights
Under applicable data protection law, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to:
- request access to your personal information;
- request correction of inaccurate information;
- request deletion of your information in certain circumstances;
- request restriction of processing in certain circumstances;

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK’s independent data protection regulator.
15. Changes to this Privacy Policy
